MAIL-IN DEADLINE IS MARCH 15th
As always, our mail-in deadline is March 15th. Keep in mind that the closer you get to the cut off date of March 15th, the greater your chances we can’t complete your return by the due date. In that event, we will review the return & let you know if we recommend a payment with an extension which we will do free of charge.
We encourage you to send us your Mail-Ins EARLY, as we receive about 50 in the few days prior to March 15th alone. The sooner you send it in, the better.
Please send all your information in at one time (preferably, by uploading them to your client portal in as few PDFs as possible). We must have received ALL your information to be considered a Mail-In – sending us documents over the span of a week does not put you ahead in the queue.
We will also accept regular mail or faxes... No originals, please. You should include a check for the amount of the prior year’s fee. We will call you with questions.
We need your COMPLETED worksheets, as well as all items of income, tax documents and any other pertinent information in order to be considered a Mail-In. If information is missing, then it is incomplete, and goes back to the end of the queue.
MISSING INFORMATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 1st
Did you leave your appointment with a list of things to send us for your return? If so, this is the last possible date for you to get the information to us to file on time.
Once your appointment is completed, if information is missing - even if you get it to us 1 hour later – your return will probably be delayed. Why? When will we be able to get back to it? How many others are ahead of you in the “get back to it” pile? Then you’re unhappy because it takes so long to get your return, and I’m unhappy because I warned you to use the worksheets, so you know what information we need. If you have your numbers on Quicken great, either transfer them to the worksheets, or at least go through the worksheets to verify that you know what we need. Please use the worksheets!!!
As always, we will do our best to get your return done by the deadline but know there is a chance we may not be able to.
